About Wiingy's talent network
Join Wiingy AI's Physics Expert Network to work with the frontier AI labs that rely on PhD-grade scientific judgment. This is an open application for future contract opportunities matched to your background - not a specific job posting. Complete your profile, pass our expert vetting, and you become eligible for physics projects as they open. We match experts to work on a rolling basis, so you apply once and stay connected to relevant opportunities as they arise.
About Wiingy projects
Experts in the physics network contribute to a range of work depending on the project:
- Evaluating how frontier models reason through graduate-level physics: symbolic derivations, dimensional and limiting-case checks, and problem solving across classical and quantum domains.
- Authoring reference solutions, worked derivations, and reasoning traces to a publishable standard.
- Generating and verifying training data for supervised fine-tuning (SFT), preference feedback (RLHF), and verifiable-reward (RLVR) work.
- Flagging where model reasoning breaks: a wrong assumption, an invalid step, an unsupported conclusion.
- Stress-testing and red-teaming outputs for subtle domain errors, and holding calibration against gold-standard items.
Projects vary in scope and duration, with typical commitments in the range of 10-20 hours per week. Each task is scoped, with its rate shown upfront, and you choose what to take on.
Who we're looking for
- PhD or Master's in physics or a closely related field (theoretical, experimental, or applied).
- Working fluency with analytical methods and standard formalisms such as classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, or statistical mechanics.
- Strong scientific communication and the ability to write a tight, defensible rationale for a technical judgment.
- Ability to work independently and reliably in a remote environment.
Focus areas: Classical mechanics · Electromagnetism · Quantum mechanics · Statistical mechanics · Thermodynamics · Mathematical physics · High-energy physics · Condensed matter · Symbolic derivation · Scientific reasoning · Data analysis
