About Wiingy's talent network

Join Wiingy AI's Mathematics Expert Network to work with the frontier AI labs that rely on PhD-grade mathematical judgment. This is an open application for future contract opportunities matched to your background - not a specific job posting. Complete your profile, pass our expert vetting, and you become eligible for mathematics projects as they open. We match experts to work on a rolling basis, so you apply once and stay connected to relevant opportunities as they arise.

About Wiingy projects

  • Experts in the mathematics network contribute to a range of work depending on the project.
  • Evaluating how frontier models reason through competition- and research-level mathematics: multi-step proofs, olympiad-style problem solving, and rigorous symbolic manipulation.
  • Authoring reference solutions, formal proofs, and reasoning traces to a clean, publishable standard.
  • Generating and verifying training data for supervised fine-tuning (SFT), preference feedback (RLHF), and verifiable-reward (RLVR) work.
  • Flagging where model reasoning breaks: a wrong assumption, an invalid step, an unsupported conclusion.
  • Stress-testing and red-teaming outputs for subtle errors, and holding calibration against gold-standard items.

Projects vary in scope and duration, with typical commitments in the range of 15-30 hours per week. Each task is scoped, with its rate shown upfront, and you choose what to take on.

Who we're looking for

  • PhD or Master's in mathematics or a closely related field (pure or applied), or a strong competition background such as an olympiad medalist.
  • Working fluency with proof techniques across algebra, analysis, number theory, or combinatorics.
  • Strong mathematical communication and the ability to write a tight, defensible rationale for a technical judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably in a remote environment.

Focus areas: Algebra · Analysis · Number theory · Combinatorics · Topology · Probability · Discrete mathematics · Proof writing · Formal methods (Lean) · Olympiad problem solving · Symbolic reasoning · Mathematical rigor

How it works

This is not a specific job posting. By applying, you're joining Wiingy's mathematics talent network.

  • Apply once: Complete your profile, upload your resume, and confirm your work location.
  • Get verified: We review your credentials and approve qualified experts.
  • Stay matched: When projects need mathematics expertise, we match you based on your background and project needs.
  • Start working: Get invited to opportunities that fit your schedule and interests, and earn competitive rates working remotely on your own schedule.

Contract and Payment Terms

  • You'll be engaged as an independent contractor; projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded based on need and performance.
  • Fully remote, completed on your own schedule.
  • Rates are shown upfront per project.
  • Payment is made on a per-project or scheduled basis for work delivered.
