About Wiingy's talent network
Join Wiingy AI's Engineering Expert Network to work with the frontier AI labs that rely on expert-grade engineering judgment. This is an open application for future contract opportunities matched to your background - not a specific job posting. Complete your profile, pass our expert vetting, and you become eligible for engineering projects as they open. We match experts to work on a rolling basis, so you apply once and stay connected to relevant opportunities as they arise.
About Wiingy projects
Experts in the engineering network contribute to a range of work depending on the project:
- Evaluating how frontier models handle advanced engineering: applied problem solving across your discipline, with correct assumptions, units, and safety-factor reasoning.
- Authoring reference solutions, design calculations, and reasoning traces to the standard of a technical report.
- Generating and verifying training data for supervised fine-tuning (SFT), preference feedback (RLHF), and verifiable-reward (RLVR) work.
- Flagging where model reasoning breaks: a wrong assumption, an invalid step, an unsupported conclusion.
- Stress-testing and red-teaming outputs for subtle domain errors, and holding calibration against gold-standard items.
Projects vary in scope and duration, with typical commitments in the range of 10-20 hours per week. Each task is scoped, with its rate shown upfront, and you choose what to take on.
Who we're looking for
- Advanced degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, aerospace, or related), or equivalent professional experience; professional licensure (PE) a plus.
- Working fluency with quantitative modeling and standard methods in your field.
- Strong technical communication and the ability to write a tight, defensible rationale for a technical judgment.
- Ability to work independently and reliably in a remote environment.
Focus areas: Mechanical engineering · Electrical engineering · Civil engineering · Chemical engineering · Aerospace · Structural analysis · Control systems · Thermodynamics · CAD and design · Finite element analysis · Systems modeling · Applied problem solving
