Experts in the engineering network contribute to a range of work depending on the project:

• Evaluating how frontier models handle advanced engineering: applied problem solving across your discipline, with correct assumptions, units, and safety-factor reasoning.
• Authoring reference solutions, design calculations, and reasoning traces to the standard of a technical report.
• Generating and verifying training data for supervised fine-tuning (SFT), preference feedback (RLHF), and verifiable-reward (RLVR) work.
• Flagging where model reasoning breaks: a wrong assumption, an invalid step, an unsupported conclusion.
• Stress-testing and red-teaming outputs for subtle domain errors, and holding calibration against gold-standard items.

Projects vary in scope and duration, with typical commitments in the range of 10-20 hours per week. Each task is scoped, with its rate shown upfront, and you choose what to take on.

• Advanced degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, aerospace, or related), or equivalent professional experience; professional licensure (PE) a plus.
• Working fluency with quantitative modeling and standard methods in your field.
• Strong technical communication and the ability to write a tight, defensible rationale for a technical judgment.
• Ability to work independently and reliably in a remote environment.
